Swedish Gaming Giant ATG Teams Up with Ethical Hackers to Strengthen Security Posture
11.06.2024
A Swedish gaming enterprise, ATG, is requesting the assistance of the ethical hacking community to rigorously evaluate its security measures. They are collaborating with YesWeHack, a prominent European bug bounty platform, to identify any weaknesses present within their infrastructure.
ATG, a well-known brand in Sweden, provides a variety of wagering options, encompassing horse racing, sports betting, and even casino games. Serving millions of patrons, they understand the critical importance of safeguarding sensitive information, particularly in a sector frequently targeted by cybercriminals.
Their concerns extend beyond data breaches. Match manipulation poses a significant threat in the realm of sports wagering, and ATG is adopting a proactive strategy to guarantee the integrity of its platform.
This collaboration commenced with a confidential bug bounty program, inviting a select cohort of security specialists to explore and identify potential vulnerabilities. Now, they are expanding the initiative to the public. Thousands of ethical hackers from YesWeHack’s international network will have the opportunity to thoroughly examine ATG’s systems.
Furthermore, ATG is organizing a webinar on December 7th to share their knowledge and insights on maximizing the benefits of collaborating with ethical hackers. They champion transparency and aim to motivate others in the industry to adopt similar practices.
Erik Täfvander, Head of Cyber Security at ATG, aptly summarizes their approach: “ATG’s objective is to merge our legacy and principles with contemporary technology to continuously enhance and develop the gaming experience.”
From the outset, we have been incredibly impressed with YesWeHack. Their proactive approach to identifying and addressing vulnerabilities on our platform is instrumental in maintaining our competitive edge.”
Guillaume Vassault-Houlière, CEO and co-founder of YesWeHack, further noted, “ATG is establishing a new benchmark within the gaming sector. Their dedication to providing a secure and enjoyable gaming environment is clearly demonstrated by their adoption of advanced security protocols, such as bug bounty initiatives. They are not simply adhering to industry norms; they are exceeding them.”
